Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about Wideview, your data, and how things work.
What is Wideview?
Wideview is a private, intelligent professional network tool and relationship manager. It is built for individuals who want to manage their professional world carefully — without ads, without a public feed, and without their data being sold.
Who can see my data?
Only you. Your contacts, notes, Chronicle timeline, and resume data are visible to your account alone. When you connect with another Wideview user, only the information you have explicitly made public on your profile is visible to them.
How do I connect with someone?
You can send a connection invite from any contact card. Once both parties are connected, you can see each other's public profile information and appear in each other's network graph.
What is the Chronicle?
Chronicle is a visual timeline of your life — work, projects, education, geography, and personal milestones — laid out on a single scrollable canvas spanning your whole career. It is private to you.
Can I export my data?
Export functionality is on the roadmap. In the meantime, your data lives in a Supabase database that can be accessed directly if needed.
How do I delete my account?
Contact the Wideview administrator to request full account deletion. All of your data — contacts, notes, timeline entries, work history, and profile — will be permanently removed.
Is this available to the public?
Wideview is currently invite-only. If you received a connection link from an existing user, you can sign up through that link.
How is Wideview different from LinkedIn?
Wideview is not a social network. There is no feed, no endorsements, no public visibility, and no advertising. It is a private tool for managing your own professional relationships and history — closer in spirit to a personal CRM than a social platform.
